*Thank you to the author for providing an ARC/review copy of this book* ππππ ~ couldn't-put-it-down great "It is one's self who must be learned to find value in who they are" A great continuation of the series! There are great new characters introduced, an awesome gladiator-style battle, and some great twists at the end! The start was a little slow, but the pace picked back up quickly and thrust Kealin into some more exciting adventures! It also feels like some ideas could be fleshed out a bit more to make things flow nicer, but the length of the books is good as it stops them from being an overwhelming task (*cough* KoA *cough*). Again, as with the first book in the series, there are some minor spelling and grammatical errors that the author is fixing. Overall though, it's a read that is well worth the time and I'm off to open the third book right now π

Very good improvement on the first book and I fully expect the next one to be a five star read. This saga is ideal for fans of action-packed fantasy and if you like Drizzt do Urden, Malus Darkblade and Elric of Melnibone, chances are that you are gonna fall for Kealin as well!

Great continuation of the story. Favorite characters from past books are in this one but we also get to meet multiple other new interesting characters. Add in magic and an epic journey and you have a really good book.

This is the second book in the series about the half-elf Kealin who is travelling from the Northern Glacial Seas which are his home to the far South where he hopes to find a seer who can tell him where his sister is! Alri is the only surviving member of his family and he intends to find her at all costs. And the costs are high as Kealin leaves a trail of blood wherever he goes however he does not travel alone. Along the way he met two brothers, who were adventurers and fortune seekers who decided to come to his aid. Brethor seems honest enough and in good faith however his brother is not quite what he seems and not to be trusted! They travel through the desert and are aided by the desert people and through mountains and finally back to the sea. Kealin does not find his sister but finds so much more than her bargained for! A great adventure from start to finish with magic wielders thrown in, orcs and rock trolls and Jinn, the evil of the protectorate which is raising its head and gaining ground and the Rusis who are trying their best to aid Kealin. A fight of good against evil full of great sword battles even if fought with two swords! And an amazing narwhal called Tulasiro who stole the show for me.

Read
February 9, 2021Seer of Lost Sands (Half-Elf Chronicles, #2), my first highly enjoyable read from author J.T. Williams, An author I'd wanted to read for some time yet never got around to. I thought I'd read the first book in this series, Half-Bloods Rising (Half-Elf Chronicles #1), but I was wrong. All I can say is WOW! December seemed to be my month for new authors, January continued the trend, and now February. A well written, entertaining read, with intriguing, well-developed characters. Slow to start (probably because I hadn't read the first book), but when it took off I couldn't turn pages fast enough. βI received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." I look forward to reading more from this author, in fact, I'm going out and get Half-Bloods Rising (Half-Elf Chronicles #1). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Kealin needs to find his sister and it's been a long time that he's trying. There is a sorcerer that could possibly help and perhaps he will be able to locate her. Another story in the series that keeps you intrigued until the end and then wanting more. A pleasure as always to review

OUTSTANDING This Series will grab you and not let go. It's well thought out and the Characters are well written. It is in league with R.A. Salvatore, Mercedes Lackey, Tracey Hickman, Terry Brooks. IT has a Bright Future ahead.

A much better book than the first This one builds more on the first and makes us feel more intimate with the character. Though few of the things are again to fast and random, I still enjoyed the journey of Kaelin. Also adding more characters made it more enjoyable.

The Adventure Continues All is not lost, or is it? Death continues to stalk our hero and those who choose to help him. The action doesn't let up and we get to meet new characters. Book 2 is a good sequel to the first book.

The time jump from the first book to this book was not explained. Otherwise this was a fantastic sequel and Kealin is an excellent tortured hero!

75% - same as book one, as the pros and cons of this book pretty much match #1, except for the fact that this book stays pretty much in Kealin's head, avoiding the weird head-hops. A fast-paced and gripping read but something about this story just doesn't seem to sit well with my own preferences and so I'm putting this series aside indefinitely for "it's not you, it's me" reasons.

Seer of Lost Sands picks up years after Half-Bloods Rising ended and Kaelin has developed a tough outer shell. I loved how dark this book was, he set the tone for what Kaelin is going through. We follow him as he experiences more loss (can't he just get a hug?!), friendship, enemies, prisons, and exploration. Many surprises, not all good, and lots of twists and turns. I'm obsessed with all the world building, and the many different species. Excited to continue the journey

Keeps Getting Better! I liked the first book in the series and thought it was well done. But this second one is even better! The development of the main character is awesome to see in this books. He meets a lot of deep characters along the way and they make the story come alive even more. The end is crazy awesome with some jaw dropping revelations and events. I HIGHLY recommend this and cannot wait to read the next one!

This is Book 2 in the Half-Elf Chronicles, Seer of Lost Sands. J.T. Williams out did himself in book 2, I did not want the book to end. It's a wonderful read and Williams did an exceptional job continuing his world building. I feel as if I traveled with Kealin the whole way and went through all his experiences with him. I love the interaction of the brothers Orolo and Brethor and laughed out loud many times by their antics. Williams characters are ones that stay with you long after the story is over. The adventure was jammed packed full of action and drama and a lot of nail biting. Sultan Amhe and Eh-Rin was a nice break from the preceding turmoil and he aided Kealin in his continuing quest. I did not see what was coming at the ending of the book and it surprised the heck out of me. What a great way to leave the reading wanting more. Well done. If you like sword and sorcery novels do yourself a favor and pick up the series and if you have read it you will want to reread it, some fantastic extra material has been added and a new book cover.

An undying sorcerer may provide half-elven warrior Kealin's last chance to find his sister. Five frustrating years along the forbidding northern coast have yielded only rumors of a powerful seer dwelling far to the south. To reach the enigmatic entity, Kealin must trace a path of blood down an entire region. Dogged by a dark curse on his own soul, he must run the gauntlet of the Grand Protectorate and their anti-elven zealotry. Kealin's only aid comes from a duo of fugitive treasure hunters of uncertain loyalties. Darkness is gathering. Will the return of an ancient sleeping evil prevent him from saving the last of his family? When blood fills the mountains, Demons will awake.
Not a bad series, good al in all. It is entertaining. Good reading everyone!!!!!

Come on. I beleive JT WILLIAMS to be a very talinted wrighter and i find this book to be good but i beleive that with a few changes it could be great!. The issue is that there never seems to be anything good happening. Everyone dies around him. You here of his great power and yet he dosent hardly ever use them. Thay were unlocked at one point and yet nothing happens. I will keep reading and hope more happens.

Intense! Kealin is searching for his sister, lost at the end of book 1. He has many adventures, mishaps, hopes, and despairs as the story works its way through many twists and turns. Lots of interesting new characters. The conclusion should be spectacular.
